As the political hurricane passed over America it left behind unrest with a nation almost in shambles from this economic wreckage and rather anxious with anticipation for this historic election. The storm having subsided leaves America in a submissive yet readied state. So many became active during this election that is seems almost impossible for this political atmosphere to dissipate. At times even now it is difficult to go anywhere without hearing someone’s personal political views. It was a wonderful experience hearing all different people with different backgrounds, from different classes, and with different levels of education discuss politics and which candidate they preferred; however, with president elect Barack Obama at the helm of the United States of America, most Americans can rest a little easier at night and go back to what was really important in their lives. Wait, what was that again? What was there to think and talk about before the 2008 election? I am not quite sure but it seems that America post 2008 election should discuss what really matters: Family, Friends, love, making a difference, and memories of better times past. With the election season over, we here at the Boylan Blog would like to remind you to go and take time out to spend with friends and family. To experience happiness and love independent of the political realm. Though politics are important to every one, it is time to make personal choices that will benefit the individual, the society, and America.
