Welcome back to the beautiful Brooklyn College. Bundle up tight, the weather is nippy.
A few things of which to be aware as your roll up your back-to-school-sleeves and buckle down with the books:
Junction submissions are welcome for The English Major’s literary magazine The Junction. You can pick up a FREE copy at 3416 Boylan, as well as a smile and some helpful English major advice.
Please submit your poetry/prose/plays to Bczinesubmissions[at]Gmail[dot]com.
Open Mic will be March 6th. Sign up sheet will go up as we get closer to the event, but get inspired and get writing/reading/singing/acting because we can’t wait to hear what you all have to say.
English Major’s office is also announcing a new summer fellowship. The Zicklin Summer Fellowship. For information students should go here.
A project named The Artifice has come to our attention. It’s an online magazine that covers a wide spectrum of art forms (including Film, Anime, Comics, Literature, Arts...). It is collaboratively built and maintained by the writers. The platform has an established audience of millions.
They are currently expanding and we would like to provide an opportunity for your students to join our team of writers. If you’re interested please visit the-artiface.com or come ask us for more information!
Finally, if you’re ever in need of English Major advice or some scholarly conversation, please feel free to visit us in Boylan. Our happy band of interns are happy to oblige.
Be kind to one another-
