If any of you are like me, you're suffering the Approaching-the-Middle-of-the-Semester-and-Deeply-Drowning-Among-the-Tumultuous-Waves-of-Homework-Blues. But rejoice! There is a shred of hope in the light at the end of the tunnel. Come closer, the light beckons.
And when you do, you realize it's nothing other than the Open Mic sign-up sheet that will be posted on the door of Boylan 3416 starting on October 18th 2016. The Open Mic is an opportunity for all students to read, perform, or present their own work in front of their peers in Woody Tanger Auditorium. It is just the thing any creative student stressing over the hefty stacks of homework needs to unwind and really get their mental juices a-flowin'.
Also, keep in mind that this week is Rosh Hashanah and there will be no classes in session 10/3/16 and 10/4/16. This Thursday will also be one of Brooklyn College's ever popular conversion days so 10/6/16 will be following a Monday schedule.
Happy Holidays and be sure to not get too overwhelmed by the waves of assignments your professors most likely assigned over this supposed holiday weekend! (My job certainly doesn't see this as a holiday, so fingers crossed I get my own work done as well)
